Chapter 27 of the Texas Property Code

In Texas, any matter concerning the design, construction, or repair of a new residence, of an alteration of or repair or addition to an existing residence, on which a person has a complaint against a contractor is governed by Chapter 27 of the Texas Property Code, apply named the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act (RCLA). Additionally, these matters almost always implicate constitutional or statutory liens on the property.
